Wednesday A mainly cloudy start to the day across eastern Wales and the south of England. This cloud breaking through the morning with sunny spells developing and leading to a fair afternoon for many, although still with a fair amount of cloud. A brighter morning for northern England and dry too, the cloud breaking further for the afternoon leaving it dry with sunny spells. The best of the weather and lots of sunshine and fine weather through Scotland and Ireland with little change through the day. Highs of a cold 5C where it stays cloudy on eastern coasts, nearer 9C over western parts of Scotland.

Wednesday Night Cloudier skies persists across southeastern England through the day, these affecting East Anglia too. Brighter skies with some clear spells through the Midlands, northern England, Wales and southwest England. Dry too for Scotland and Ireland with clear skies here, although some thicker cloud drifting into northern Scotland later in the day. A widespread frost under clearer skies with lows of -1 to -3C, but 1C where it stays cloudier in the southeast and across northern Scotland.

Thursday A far day across much of England and Wales. After a frosty start it will be a dry day with good spells of sunshine developing. The extreme southeast of England may be troubled by cloud at first, but this should clear through the day. Further cloud will be pushing south through Scotland bringing some outbreaks of rain in central and northern areas, these turning more persistent on northern coasts in the afternoon, where the winds will also be increasing. Highs near 7 to 10C.

Friday A weak front sinking south through Thursday night and into Friday bringing some cloud and showery outbreaks of rain through England and Wales as well as southern Ireland in the morning. Following will be brighter skies with sunny spells coming through, especially in the west. eastern coasts of England and Scotland may always be troubled by more cloud and some outbreaks of rain, most of it light. Temperatures at around 6 to 9C and feeling chilly in the wind.
